Jennifer Baker is joined by James Holtum, spokesperson for the ECR Group, to discuss the European Parliament agenda for this week:

  • ECB President Mario Draghi will meet with the Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) Committee to debate the ongoing Quantitative Easing programme and sovereign bond purchase (Monday 15 June).
  • Copyright reform: MEPs will give their input on the Commission’s proposal to be tabled by the end of 2015. Their resolution will deal with controversial issues such as geoblocking, the remuneration of authors and copyright rules harmonisation (Tuesday 16 June).
  • Economic governance: MEPs from the ECON Committee will vote on a resolution setting out their recommendations on the EU’s economic governance architecture (Tuesday 16 June).
  • Animal cloning: MEPs from the environment and agriculture committees will vote on reports to ban the cloning of farm animals and imports of products from cloned animals (Wednesday 17 June).
