Greek parliament passes 'humanitarian crisis' bill

The Greek parliament on Wednesday overwhelmingly adopted a "humanitarian crisis" bill despite objections from European Commission officials. The bill, which includes free electricity and food stamps for the poorest Greeks, is the first piece of social policy legislation planned by Alexis Tsipras i' left-wing government.
