Romanian PM frontrunner in presidential elections

Romania's Socialist PM Victor Ponta i is poised to win the first round of presidential elections Sunday, with around 40% in opinion polls, followed by Klaus Iohannis, a centre-right mayor from the country's German minority, polling at 26-30%. A second round between the two is scheduled for 16 November.
