EU development aid to Hungary from regional, cohesion and social funds has been temporarily suspended over "major shortcomings" in financial control systems, but there is no evidence of fraud, a European Commission official told Reuters Wednesday. Budapest earlier accepted to pay an EU fine to regain access to the money.
