Hongarije verlaagt pensioenleeftijd rechters ondanks Europees protest (en)

Hungary has overturned a new law lowering the retirement age of judges from 70 to 62. Brussels had opposed the new law claiming it would weaken the independence of the judges. EU Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding i welcomed the ruling and said Brussels would defend judicial independence in all member states.
