Duitsland steunt acties tegen de Roemeense overheid (en)

German government spokesman Steffen Seibert said on Monday that Berlin "supports the European Union in launching potential actions" against the Romanian government, after left-wing PM Ponta impeached the centre-right President Basescu last week. Seibert said the "political war" has trampled on rule of law in the easterly EU country.
