Deense Minister Wammen (Europese Zaken) over de stand van zaken van het Deense Voorzitterschap (en)
Minister for European Affairs Nicolai Wammen gives his thoughts on the current state of play of the Presidency when he participates in the European Parliament’s plenary session this week in Strasbourg.

Minister for European Affairs Nicolai Wammen attends the European Parliament plenary session on 17 to 18 April in Strasbourg. On 18 April he will attend the meeting of the Conference of Committee Chairs to provide a state of play of the Danish Presidency at the mid-term of the Presidency.
Nicolai Wammen states, “We are now more than halfway through the Presidency. I am very content with the way that the Presidency is going. Results are coming in across the various areas and I am particularly pleased that we have managed to be agenda setting in relation to initiatives to boost growth and employment. I look forward to my exchange with the Conference of Committee Chairs where I will thank the Parliament for the fruitful co-operation so far. We are on track but much work needs to be done, not least in co-operation with the European Parliament that plays a key role in ensuring a successful Presidency.”
During his visit, the Minister will also discuss ways to combat tax fraud and tax evasion with the parliamentarians. Finally, he will open the Danish days in Strasbourg which takes place from 17 to 25 April.
The European Parliament’s session starts Tuesday 17 April and ends on Friday 20 April.
