Ontmoeting tussen Europese en Amerikaanse topambtenaren (en)

Meeting aimed at discussing the current development of cooperation and preparation of a ministerial EU i-US meeting. The state holding the Presidency of the EU Council is required to organise a meeting between senior officials and representatives of the United States. The state holding the Presidency of the EU Council represents all EU member states during this meeting.

Aside from the Presidency and representatives of the US, the meeting is attended by representatives of the European Commission, the General Secretariat of the EU Council, the state holding the next Presidency of the EU Council and EU agencies. Furthermore, the conference also provides preparation for a ministerial meeting between the parties, during which strategic decisions are taken concerning further cooperation between the EU and US in the fields of freedom, security and justice.
