Mobility package postponed

Mobility package proposals will be returned to the EP’s Transport Committee for a vote before they will be put to the Plenary on 3rd and 4th April. Because of the high number of amendments tabled during the plenary session in March II, President Antonio Tajani asked the Transport Committee, according to rule 175 of the EP rules of procedure, to filter the amendments by voting on them in committee before a vote at the next plenary session in April. The three proposals on the posting of drivers, drivers' rest periods and access to the occupation of road transport operator and to the road haulage market are part of the "Mobility Package" tabled by the EU Commission in May 2017.

The filtering will take place during an extraordinary TRAN meeting on 2 April 2019 from 14.30 in room JAN 2Q2 from where it will be webstreamed.
