The European Parliament's Bureau, comprising the President, Vice-Presidents and Quaestors, have approved proposals to name two more of its buildings in Brussels after prominent Europeans.

The building in Square de Meeûs (SQM) will be named after Helmut KOHL, former German Chancellor, who steered the reunification of Germany and championed the creation of the Euro as Europe's single currency.

The Atrium building in Rue d'Ardenne (ATR) will be named after Stefan ZWEIG, a popular Austrian writer and advocate of a unified Europe, who opposed all forms of nationalism and was forced into exile by the Nazis.
