President Klaus-Heiner Lehne participates in the meeting of the EU Contact Committee of Supreme Audit Institutions

Cooperation between the SAIs of the European Union principally takes place within the framework of the Contact Committee, which is composed of the Heads of the SAIs of the EU i and its Member States.

This year’s annual meeting of the Contact Committee is hosted by the SAI of Croatia on 11 and 12 October 2018 in Dubrovnik. In his welcome speech, Ivan Klešić, the Auditor General of Croatia, said that the Contact Committee was a highly effective network for professional contact among public auditors in the EU, through its working groups, forums and task forces on specific audit topics.

ECA i President Klaus-Heiner Lehne i, together with Kay Scheller (President of the German Bundesrechnungshof) and Charles Deguara (Auditor General of Malta), participated in a panel discussion moderated by Tomaz Vesel (President of the Slovenian SAI) on how SAIs can better interact with citizens.
