Joint statement of the 25th EU-Japan summit

At the 25th EU-Japan summit held in Tokyo, leaders reaffirmed their resolve to work together for the rules-based international order and to promote a free and fair global economy. The summit has been an opportunity to sign the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and the EU-Japan Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA).
Following the summit, Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, and Shinzō Abe , Prime Minister of Japan, issued the following statement.
