Conference on 6 March will discuss better medicines for all
On Tuesday, 6 March 2018, a Presidency conference on Options to provide better medicines for all European citizens will be held at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
The conference aims to provide a platform for discussion on key issues related to drug deficiency, legal possibilities and e-solutions to regulate parallel exports as well as securing effective medicines at affordable prices. Talks will focus around four panels: "Pharmaceuticals shortages: public health or trade considerations? ", "European pharmaceutical industry, committed to health?", "Earlier access tools: is speed the right priority?", and "Ensuring affordability and access: the solutions".
Experts from the EU i Member States, the European Commission, the World Health Organisation, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the academic community, non-governmental organizations, and other institutions will participate in the conference. The event is part of the calendar of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU in the health sector.
