Members of the Brussels Press Corps met with members of the Supreme Political Advisory Board for the Bulgarian Presidency
Today, European correspondents accredited in Brussels met with the members of the Supreme Political Advisory Board Rosen Plevneliev, President of Bulgaria (2012-2017), and Simeon Saxe-Coburg of Gotha, Prime Minister of Bulgaria (2001-2005). The Board was established as early as in the summer of 2017 by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in support of the Bulgarian Presidency.
The other four SCB members are Hans-Gert Pottering i, President of the European Parliament (2007-2009), Erwin Proell, Governor of Lower Austria (1992-2017), Ambassador Jean David Levitte and Herman Van Rompuy i, President of the European Council (2010-2014).
The meeting with foreign journalists, visiting Bulgaria for the start of our first rotational presidency, took place in Sofia Tech Park. Solomon Passy, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria in the government of Simeon Saxe-Coburg of Gotha, attended the meeting too.
The immediate past President of the International Communication Consultancies Organisation ICCO, Maxim Behar, moderated the discussion.
After the discussion with the three politicians of international renown, who took on the mission to be ambassadors of our Presidency, representatives of the Bulgarian scientific and entrepreneurial communities presented their achievements to the representatives of foreign media.
