MegaDojoSofia 1.0 - Children’s Opening of the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency

On 6 January, 2018 at 11 am, the Children’s Opening of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU i Council Presidency will take place at the National Palace of Culture - Mega Dojo Sofia 1.0.

MegaDojo Sofia 1.0 will bring together more than 600 children from all over the country with or without any experience in software developing. The Children’s Opening will be in three of the official Presidency halls of NPC, just a few days prior to the official opening and the first meetings at the highest level. Thus, children will have the chance to feel the atmosphere of the event and will enjoy learning about Europe through science and high technology. The European Commissioner for the Digital Technology and Society Mariya Gabriel i will arrive in Sofia to greet the children.

The event will be held under the auspices of the Ministry for the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council in 2018. In line with the priorities of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council, the goal of Mega Dojo is to support and inspire future artists, entrepreneurs and innovators. Organizers of the event are CoderDojo Bulgaria and the Digital National Coalition, supported by Microsoft Bulgaria.

The event is suitable for children aged 7-13; entrance is free upon preliminary registration at www.megadojo.org until 23:59 hrs. on 3 January or until all seats are taken. For security purposes, no one will be allowed without previous registration and correctly filled in data.
