Coins with the logo of the Bulgarian Presidency will be released for circulation on 2 January
Two coins devoted to the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2018 will be released for circulation on 2 January. They were presented at a press conference at the Bulgarian National Bank.
The silver commemorative coin with partial gold plating is of BGN 10 face value and will have a circulation of 3,000. It weighs 20g and has a diameter of 40mm. The logo of the Bulgarian National Bank is depicted in the gold-plated inner circle and the year 1879 in the ribbon on the obverse side, and the logo of the Bulgarian Presidency is in the gold-plated circle on the reverse side. The coin will be sold at a price of BGN 66 at BNB cashiers’ desks and at the Cash Services Company offices in Sofia, Burgas, Varna, Pleven and Plovdiv.
The circulating coin of BGN 2 face value will be released with a circulation of 500,000. It weighs 9g and has a diameter of 26mm. The face value is depicted in the inner circle with a number 2 with engraved parallel lines and the logo of the Bulgarian Presidency is in the inner circle of the reverse side.
Some of the special coins will be part of the protocol gift packs for the delegates, provided by the Ministry for the Bulgarian Presidency.
