Serbia’s reforms efforts, EU i accession path, and relations with the EU will be debated by Foreign Affairs MEPs with its Prime Minister Ana Brnabić on Tuesday.

This will be Ms Brnabić’s first official visit to Brussels and the EU institutions, since she became Serbia’s Prime Minister in June 2017.

In June, MEPs voted a resolution on Serbia and welcomed the progress in EU accession talks, noting that normal relations between Belgrade and Pristina are one condition for becoming part of the EU. They also called on Serbia to align its foreign policy with the EU’s, including its policy on Russia, to ensure judicial independence and to revise its constitution.
