HRVP Federica Mogherini visits Saudi Arabia

High Representative / Vice-President Federica Mogherini i today met Saudi Foreign Minister i, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, with whom she discussed EU i-Saudi cooperation in many fields, including the crises in Syria and Yemen, human rights, counterterrorism and trade.

Earlier on Monday, Mogherini met the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, with whom she discussed the scope for mutually beneficial cooperation on issues with a regional dimension.

During a two-day visit to Jeddah, she will also meet representatives of Saudi women and the Saudi business community, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab States, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
