Father of Polish 'shock therapy' joins Ukraine government

Polish economist and former deputy prime minister Leszek Balcerowicz, who led Poland's economic transition after communism, was appointed as the president's representative in the new Ukrainian government. "I have to show [Ukraine's] achievements that are not always noticed by the West," Balcerowicz said after his appointment.
