Turkey protests over EU consuls at media trial

Turkey has issued diplomatic protests after consuls from European countries appeared at the opening trial of two top journalists from the Cumhuriyet group who face life in prison for documenting covert Turkish arms shipments to Syria last summer. The British consul to Istanbul published pictures from the court on Twitter.
