Spain must reduce deficit this year, says Commission

The European Commission has asked Spain to reduce its deficit to 2.8 percent of GDP this year instead of the expected 3.6 percent. The commission recalled that in 2013 Spain was given until 2016 to reduce its deficit. Madrid must inform the commission of its plans by April.
