76,000 migrants reached Europe this year

Over 76,000 migrants and refugees arrived in Europe by sea since 1 January, the International Organization for Migration i said Wednesday. "The daily average of nearly 2,000 arrivals is nearly 10 times the daily average of a year ago," the IOM said. In the meantime, 409 people died in the Mediterranean.
