A controversial draft law, proposed by the Danish government, which would empower the authorities to seize valuable assets from refugees in order to pay for their stay when applying for asylum in Denmark, and postpone the right to family reunification for refugees under temporary protection, will be debated at the Civil Liberties Committee with Danish Foreign Affairs Minister Kristian Jensen and Minister for Immigration, Integration and Housing Inger Støjberg today, Monday.

The meeting takes place in the József Antall building, room 6Q2, from 15:00 to 16:20 and can be followed live on EP Live and EbS.

The debate was called upon by Parliament plenary on 20 January.
