HR/VP Federica Mogherini meets Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan

High Representative/Vice President Federica Mogherini i met Her Majesty the Queen of Jordan, Rania Al Abdallah in Brussels on Tuesday 12 January.
The HR/VP and Her Majesty discussed the very tense and volatile situation in the region, in particular the crisis in Syria and the humanitarian consequences that also affect the neighbouring countries.
Mogherini praised Jordan's role as a strong partner and a crucial player for the stability of the region, and for generously hosting a great number of Syrian refugees.
She confirmed that the EU i will continue to closely cooperate with Jordan and will mobilise all its instruments to increase its support to the country in the coming months.
