Schulz condemns the terrorist attack in Istanbul

"Hatred, violence and death are now sadly evident bywords for the Islamic State. Today, Istanbul has been the target of this heinous group of terrorist fanatics. From Paris to Istanbul, from the US to Egypt, Daesh's murderous outreach is a global plague which requires unity and resolve to be defeated. Our efforts must be redoubled so as to put an end to the misery not just of the Syrians and Iraqis who suffer under its yoke, but for everyone's security.

I extend my condolences to the families and friends of the victims and also wish a quick and full recovery to the many injured."
