Danes mull bill on confiscating asylum seeker valuables

Denmark's parliament on Wednesday will discuss a controversial bill that would allow police to confiscate some of the valuables carried by asylum seekers to help pay for their stay, reports AFP. Defenders of the bill say Danes seeking welfare also have to sell off their valuables before receiving benefits.
