'Significant progress' in Cyprus reunification talks

Reunification talks deal for the divided island of Cyprus have made "significant progress", UN peace envoy Espen Barth Eide said on Tuesday after meeting Greek foreign minister Nikos Kotzias in Athens, AFP reports. Cyprus has been split since 1974 but UN-brokered negotiations resumed in May and talks have intensified lately.
