Germany to spend €17bn on refugees in 2016

Germany's federal states plan to spend €17 billion on dealing with the refugee crisis in 2016, Die Welt reported Tuesday, citing a survey among finance ministries. It is more than the €15.3 billion the central government planned to allocate to its education and research ministry in 2015, the newspaper notes.
