Finland wants exemption from EU ban on semi-automatics

Finland wants to opt out of a new EU directive that bans civilian ownership of semi-automatic firearms, agency YLE reported Wednesday. The rules were proposed by the EU commission last month after the Paris attacks. But interior minister Orpo says Finland's reservists need to be able to store such weapons.
