The preparation of the EU Council (17-18 December) will be very high on this Plenary session’s agenda. MEPs will discuss big issues such as fighting terrorism, migration, UK referendum and the EU-Russia relationships during this last plenary session of 2015. The ECON and BUDG Committees will be hearing from Vice-President Kattainen on the implementation of the now-up-and-running EFSI. Antti Timonen, EPP group spokesperson, also told Jennifer Baker that one of the key priorities for his block was to see concrete results on the Passenger Name Record and the GDPR, with one focus: ensuring EU citizens’ security. Finally, the wife of the Sakharov Prize winner, Raif Badawi, will receive the prize on his behalf on Wednesday.
