EU launches investigation into Hungarian nuclear plant

The European Commission on Thursday launched a formal investigation into the building of two nuclear reactors at the Paks nuclear power station in Hungary, suspecting that EU public procurement rules were broken when the project was awarded to Russian state-owned energy company Rosatom. Hungary has two months to respond.
