Spanish court allows Catalonia independence debate

Spain's Constitutional court blocked Thursday an appeal by the ruling Popular Party, the centrist Ciudadanos party, and the Catalan Socialists against a debate and vote of a motion to start a political process towards declaring the region's independence. The debate will take place in the Catalan parliament on Monday.
