IOM: Record 48,000 arrivals in past five days in Greece

Greece has seen a record 48,000 people land on its shores in just five days, the International Organisation for Migration said on Friday. "Despite deteriorating weather conditions, approximately 48,000 refugees and migrants crossed from Turkey to the Greek islands," it said, adding that daily arrivals are around 9,600.
