UNHCR: Half a million people crossed into Greece this year

Over half a million people seeking asylum arrived by sea to Greece this year on the Aegean islands, with nearly 8,000 people crossing on Monday, bringing the total number to 502,500, UN refugee agency i, UNHCR said Tuesday. The total number of arrivals in Europe via the Mediterranean is over 643,000.
