German union police chief wants border fence

German police union chief Rainer Wendt wants a fence erected along the border with Austria to stem the flow of migrants, reports Welt am Sonntag newspaper. "If we close our borders in this way, Austria will also close the border with Slovenia. That's exactly the effect we need", he said.
