A very busy mini-Plenary session awaits MEPs today. After having been deemed invalid by the ECJ, the EU-US Safe Harbor Agreement needs shaking up and updating. ‘We would like a resolution on the topic (…) the invalidation of the Safe Harbor Agreement is a victory for data protection’ emphasises EPP Spokesperson, Antti Timonen. The second part of the agenda is the preparation of tomorrow’s EU Council, mostly dedicated to the issue of migration. The EU Council will focus on the allocation of an extra €401.3 million fund for asylum seekers relocation and resettlement. Last but not least, the Parliament will vote its position on the December COP21, where a new global agreement should be reached.
