Belgian judge to head EU court

Belgium's Koen Lenaerts was elected president of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) by other judges of the court Thursday. He succeeds Greece's Vassilios Skouris who retired Wednesday after 12 years as president. The ECJ is the EU's highest court.
