US concludes Asia free trade pact

The US and 11 Asian states, including Japan, but not China, Monday concluded talks on a free-trade pact, the TPP. Thirty-chapter document, not yet published, must secure Congressional approval. Breakthrough comes amid EU-US free trade talks. Separately, Germany and India Monday urged restart of talks on an EU-India trade treaty.
