Report: EU fine with 'voluntary' relocation scheme

The European Commission on Wednesday said its plan to relocate 120,000 asylum seekers from Greece, Italy and Hungary to other member states does not need to be based on a mandatory quota system. A Commission official told Reuters that "what matters is to maintain the 120,000 figure".
