European Parliament calls on Turkey to stop violence

In a rare joint appeal, leaders of five political groups in the European Parliament, EPP, S&D, Liberal, GUE/NGL and Greens/EFA, have called on Turkey to take initiative and end the violence between the Turkish military and the PKK, adding, "the violent conflict is a threat to the whole region".
