EU milk price plunge may be linked to Russian sanctions

The European Commission said Tuesday a drop in milk prices in Europe "could be" linked to "the absence of the Russian market", referring to Russia's EU counter-sanctions. Farm ministers are to discuss the situation, amid milk producers' protests in the UK, at an extraordinary meeting in Luxembourg on 7 September.
