Denmark has got EU approval for a 19km undersea road-rail tunnel to Germany. The EU commission said Thursday the project, which will connect the Danish island of Lolland with Germany's Fehmarn island, complied with state aid rules. Construction will start in January and the tunnel is to open in 2024.
