Spanish protests against new law restricting protest

Thousands of protesters filled the streets of Madrid and other Spanish cities on Tuesday to protest a new law that goes into effect 1 July. The law prohibits public protests in front of parliament and government offices under threat of heavy financial penalties and even jail.
