Polish opposition wants opt-out from climate goals

If Poland's opposition party Law and Justice wins the elections in October, it will negotiate for an opt-out of the EU-wide goal to reduce carbon emissions in the energy sector. "The role of coal in Poland’s economy fully deserves to receive special treatment", MP Piotr Naimski told Bloomberg.
