Belgian constitutional court anulls data retention law

Belgium's constitutional court ruled on Thursday that the country's data retention law breaches Belgian and European law. The obligation for telecommunications companies to store data derived from an EU directive, which was voided by an EU court in 2014 over privacy concerns.
