Health commissioner against new tobacco company deal on counterfeit cigarettes

Health commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis i has "doubts about the need" of an extension of a 2004 deal between the EU and tobacco company PMI to fight counterfeit cigarettes, he told journalists Thursday. The €1.2 billion twelve-year agreement will expire in July 2016. Other commissioners also have a say on the matter.
