EU set to propose relocation of 40,000 asylum seekers

The European commission is set to propose the relocation of 40,000 asylum seekers when it presents migration plans on Wednesday (27 May), according to Reuters. The relocation plan was announced earlier this month but did not mention any set number. Several member states have already opposed the idea.
