EU considers McDonald's tax probe

EU investigators are looking into claims American burger chain McDonald's avoided paying €1 billion in taxes in Europe by using royalty loopholes in Luxembourg, reports the Guardian. EU competition commissioner Margrethe Vestager said they are assessing trade union information to see if there is a case.
