Jennifer Baker is joined by Antti Timmonen, spokesperson for the EPP Group, to discuss the Youth Employment Initiative, designed to help Member States fighting against youth unemployment.

On Wednesday 29 April MEPs are to debate and vote on the Youth Employment Initiative, which would top up an existing fund with an extra €1 billion to help 650,000 young people find work. The EPP Group wants the EU to move “as fast as possible” to help crisis-hit countries such as Spain and Greece “where almost half the young population is out of work“.
