Portugal coalition partners form joint list to keep power

Portuguese PM Pedro Passos Coelho i announced Saturday his Social Democrats (PSD) and the smaller conservative coalition partner (CDS-PP) are to run a single list of candidates in the next parliamentary elections expected in September or October. The move is aimed at preserving a stable government and continuing tough austerity measures.
